Training

Since its inception, the firm has made great strides in the training of black law graduates by facilitating their entry into the practice of law and providing assistance to new law firms. The firm has since its inception trained a total of 15 (fifteen) black lawyers who are presently in private practise, as well as two High Court judges, Justice Karuaihe and Justice Damaseb (Judge President), Justice Karuaihe died in 1989.

Dirk H. Conradie - B.A., L.L.B. (UWC)
Date of Admission: 12th May 1989

Dirk Conradie is, since 1989 a Legal Practitioner of the High and Supreme Courts of Namibia. He is also Attorney of the Supreme Court of S.A., Cape of Good Hope Provincial Division. Conradie received his legal training in South Africa at the University of the Western Cape and did his articles with the firm Lorentz & Bone, Windhoek. Conradie is a founder member of the firm Karuaihe & Conradie (1989) now known as Conradie & Damaseb Legal Practitioners.

Conradie is the President of the Namibia Rugby Union since 1999

Liezle du Plessis - B.Iuris, LL.B (UPE)
Date of Admission: 7th July 2004

Du Plessis received her law degree at the University of Port Elizabeth, South Africa in 2001. She was a candidate legal practitioner at Chris Brandt Attorneys and was admitted as a Legal Practitioner of the High Court Namibia in 2004 whereafter she joined Conradie & Damaseb in July 2004.

Liana T. van den Bergh - BLC, L.L.B. (UP)
Date of Admission: 1991

L.T. van den Berg is a Legal Practitioner of the High Court of Namibia and is the firm's Conveyancer. Liana van den Berg was admitted as an attorney of the Supreme Court of South Africa in 1992. From 1991 - 1993 she practised as an attorney at Ehlers & Partners in Pretoria. She worked for Karuaihe & Conradie from 1994 - 1998 practising at the firm's Tsumeb branch during this time. From 1998 - 2000 she was employed at Diekmann Associates in Windhoek. From June 2000 she is the Conveyancer at Conradie & Damaseb.
