- Commercial, Corporate and MVA Matters
This Department is run by the senior practitioners who handle the following
matters primarily: Structuring of agreements; legal opinions and advice; dealing with governmental bodies (both central and
local) on behalf of clients; general representational work; close corporation and company registration. Although primarily
involved in the above matters, the director has overall responsibility for the firm’s practice and may be consulted on any
matter should a potential client so prefer. Although, in such circumstances, a partner may handle the initial consultation,
he may in due course, and in the client’s best interest, hand over the mandate to a specialist department. The partners seek
to draw on experience from other specialist departments in interdisciplinary matters.

Taleni Department handles from start to finish all litigation in the following Courts: Magistrate’s
Court, High Court, Supreme Court, District Labour Court and the Labour Court. The Department is also responsible for
representation of clients in all criminal matters. |
- Conveyancing (Real Estates), Corporate Debt Collection and Administration of Deceased Estates
This Department is
headed by a qualified Conveyancer in the person of Liana T. van den Bergh. She is assisted by Lydia de Waal who is a
Conveyancing, Estates and Collections Clerks with more than 18 years experience and Dorris Robertson, an ex- Deeds Office
Clerk and long service in a law firm.
